so here’s the deal…i get up early, not like early….like EARLLLYYYYYYY….4:45am…seriously, i know, it’s flippin’ brutal…i’m a crossfitter…you can google it, youtube it, it’s insane, tough, VERY emotional & physical & i LOVE it…however (there’s always a “however”) the time i can fit it in, so that i doesn’t totally screw up my entire life is 5:30am…we start at 5:30 & finish by 6:30 at the latest…that gets me home in time to actually start REAL LIFE….get DJ up at 7am, make breakfast, lunches, get out the door at 7:50am for the bus, back to shower & get to the shop…work, work, work…home, laundry, dogs, dishes, homework with my little guy & collapse…at an ungodly early hour, because….
I CAN’T KEEP MY EYES OPEN….
to be honest, i’m struggling with this early hour…i fade right around 2pm…until around 4pm…then again at 8pm…and every weekday morning when my alarm goes off & i shake my husband to wake him (yes…he’s a crossfitter too, insanity runs in the family apparently) i DREAD it…not that minute or the looming workout but my WITCHING hour…
is it a pace i can keep? by Friday i’m toast…a soupy tired mess…strong & fit & for the most part loving the changes in my body (and mind….) but honestly, in bed at 9pm…and cranky (that’s a whole other post…because tired is not something that agrees with me, just sayin’)….
you see…i eat CLEAN for the most part…i’ve leaned out & put on a stupid amount of muscle…so when i want a donut & coffee at 2pm i’m trying not to indulge…and somehow hummus & carrots just isn’t stimulating enough to keep my eyes open or my head on straight…HELP…
anyone out there have a witching hour? what’s your go-to fix? i mean, aside from crack (and donuts) i’m open….
